Battling ill mental health on daily basis can feel lonely and exhausting. That is why finding a community of likeminded people is a crucial factor in finding sense of belonging and understanding.

I am a self-taught artist based in London.
I grew up in Poland, however spent the last decade and a half in the UK. I am a working mother of two teenagers and a toddler.
I have spent many years teaching childcare to adults and for the last 6 years have been managing a department in the Adult Education Sector.
After years of self-suppression, which was sabotaging my wellbeing, I have rediscovered my creativity through art therapy followed by an independent artistic journey. Art became my medicine.
My artwork explores the varying states concerning the mind and mental health. Engaging in these diverse subjects leads me to a reflection and visual representation.
I am hugely inspired by nature, in particular by flora (flowers, trees and plants) but also by music, which calms my mind and leads to tranquility needed to regain balance in a busy life.
The choice of media and materials in my work is determined by the subject and how it is being received by me and I often looks for the avenues of texture.
Although I may use different media between different pieces, they are allied by recurring concerns and through the subject matter.
